Wow wow wow. What a bullet!!! Thank you Sascha for digging it out of the depths of your warehouse. I regret having squandered this one! I should have kept a lot more of this good stuff! The price is a bit steep, but compared to other prices for some rums it's still a bargain.

Exciting, very good rum! Slightly bitter at the beginning, astringent, then slightly fruity, lead pencil, slightly bitter again in the finish. Alcohol is well integrated, nice complexity. It reminds me of an Enmore MEV 1990 like Rum Artesanal or Our Rum & Spirits, i.e. Versailles, almost like KFM on the finish. Uitvlugt is on the label, so Port Mourant - I would rather rule that out. It has no herbal PM notes.

Un rhum dégusté au Whisky Live à Paris en 2024. Beaucoup de notes sombres avec du vieux bois verni mais beaucoup d’expressivité aussi. La bouche est boisée, mais ici les fruits secs s’ajoutent aux pruneaux. La finale est longue sur le bois verni et les pruneaux. Un beau rhum, comme souvent chez Sponge.

Ein sehr schöner Guyana Rum, der eher auf der trockenen und bitteren Seite ist. Trotz der langen Lagerung sind die Holzeinflüsse nicht zu extrem. Mittellanger Abgang mit würzigen und erdigen Einflüssen.
