Sip this one neat and slow — it's a 29-year Guyana pot still that lives and dies on the nose. Cherry sits right in the middle, wrapped in young wood, spice and a whiff of tar and pine. One taster called it a real "Kirschbombe". The catch: the palate arrives watered-down and thin, and a couple of members find it turns oddly bitter.

A real cherry bomb! From nose to finish, cherries take center stage in this rum. Wood and spice aromas complement this perfectly. You can also taste burnt sugar on the palate. Unfortunately, the rum seems a little watered down, but this only diminishes the overall impression somewhat.

Somehow I don't like these Uitvlugts that much. This one is also very, very woody again. Cherry is somewhat recognizable, but otherwise it's just strangely bitter again. Really not my taste.

Pleasant Demerara character on the nose and a bit more body than the abv would lead to expect. Would certainly not pay full price for, but an ok generic old Guyana rum.

In terms of taste, it should be a Port Mourant, perhaps a 1991 vintage? The dilution is already enormous, so the taste is somewhat smoothed out, but it still has power. As I like PM overall, I give it a very good rating.

Wow! Wonderful, complex & difficult rum. Nose: Smooth, delicate & complex ! Tar, camphor, conifer needles, apples, pencil shavings, yellow fruits, little pungent, grass, polish & touch of glue. Amazing. Taste: delicate. Baked apples, tar, pine needles, tea, chamomile, grass, little bit of guava, bergamot, menthol, polish, some hint of cardamon & apricot pit. Delicious! Aftertaste: long & complex. Delicate notes of eucalypt, herbals, tar, menthol, sandal wood & cardamon. Very long & so amazing. Conclusion: delicate, but sooo complex rum. Really a prime league. Highly recommend.

The nose reveals beautiful Demerara aromas, which are briefly echoed on the palate. Unfortunately, it's diluted. Overall a good rum that had more potential. Either it was watered down or the aging wasn't optimal.

Cherry cherry lady, quite interesting but the downfall is on the palate. A Watery mess that really is not intriguing. The tasting really takes most of what is great about the nose and ruins it. Bummer
