A soft, easy-drinking aged agricole from Saint James, though a few tasters feel the barrel takes over and buries the fruit and vanilla. One member found it played nicely alongside a sweet dessert.

I really like the smell with its mixture of tart fruit and spicy oak. In the mouth, unfortunately, I have to fight my way through too much wood and acidity for my taste to get back to the appealing fruit flavors and spices. However, I've had it in my glass several times now and each time I've tasted it a little better, which is why I can well imagine that it will become even more appealing as the level in the bottle decreases.

The vieux felt to young in r The profile of the chocolate and caramel flavours from that oak barrel combined with agricole juice ... This stuff is delicious , expensive but well worth a sip to see a prime example of aged agricole

A Saint James with a rather fine and delicate nose, leaning on dried and tropical fruits and especially on the wood, typical of the distillery. The latter dominates more on the palate but without being unpleasant, with some spicy notes and sugarcane in the background. The finish, quite short, focuses once again on the wood, accompanied this time by a hint of chocolate and cinnamon. Maybe not the most incredible rum, but a nice discovery of the Saint James universe.

Toasted, woody, spicy, in my opinion it sucks on the board a bit too much and you lose the vanilla and fruits. A little cinnamon and coffee on the nose which are nice though. But with a sweet dessert like a cannelé, it works. It's a bit of a cheat then :)

A pretty OK Saint James where the price matches what you get. Fresh and fruity with nice spices and roasted wood. I like the caramel note in the profile and the empty glass has some chocolate and cinnamon.

Very good old rhum from La Martinique. Woody taste with a little of dried fruits. I find a little liquorice also.
