Edit: as a blender rather the category fast and light summer CubaLibre Well, Florida and after the first reviews I had my doubts. I went in with an open mind and no great expectations. It's not that bad after all. It has a certain fruitiness and sweetness. Not really anything complex, but for an exotic drink in between, quite ok. I've had far worse in my glass recently.

7,8:On the nose, the first impression we get is molasses with roasted wood, resinous, some caramel and burnt sugar, vanilla, coconut and honey, fruity, as there is a nice pear. When aired a bit, peaches come out, dried fruits, chocolate and some menthol. 7,8:On the palate, the attack is spicy and fruity with pear, pineapple, there is a roasted wood with some chocolate, still a bit resinous, caramel, the coconut is toasted and sweet, we get vegetal notes with some eucalyptus, floral, menthol. It is a bit on thin side, but still pleasant and tasty. 7,9:The finish is very nice, sweet, long, woody, dry. There are toasted coconut, pineapple, berries, some spices, vanilla...

It's also quite old, you have to like it. The alcoholic smell predominates on the nose, otherwise some fruit and brown sugar. The palate is also alcoholic at first, then it becomes fruity and woody, then caramel and chocolate towards the finish.

Brussels Rhum Festival 2024 Spicy, floral, fresh on the nose. In the mouth, sweetish, mildly fruity, initially rather flat, it develops towards spiciness on the tongue. The finish is short, fruity and rather spicy.

An 18-year-old single cask rum from Florida sounds very exciting at first. Unfortunately, it does not surprise positively in the glass and on the palate. The opposite is more the case. It is very simple for 18 years of barrel ageing. From the nose to the short and alcoholically sharp finish, floral notes dominate, paired with lots of granulated sugar and some sweet spice. Many thanks for the sample to Alex K.!

In der Nase und am Gaumen fruchtig, aber auch recht scharf-alkoholisch. Überzeugt mich nicht wirklich, auch nicht in der Cola. Braucht man nicht.

If you add a few drops of water, chocolate and caramel notes are added.

My first pne from Florida, i actually dont know what the distillery is and i hope i remember to look for it when i get to the appropriate chapter of the Rum Bible. So, i had mo expectations. First Impression was: fruity, cask influence, does it taste a bite like Bourbon, nah, can't be. But the thought lingered... Overall well made, but not perfect. The Alcohol is noticeable and at some time could be too harsh for me, so sadly not at the 8 points mark.
