Quite interesting young rum from Saint James, Martinique. Considering the age and most importantly ABV, I was very positively surprised by the intensity of flavours. The profile is quite fruity, woody, with classic agricole notes standing out mostly in the finish. I'll definitely want to taste it again.

Überraschend runder und süffiger Agricole Rhum von Saint James in Anbetracht des jungen Alters. Sehr cremig und mild auf der Zunge, ohne zu dünn zu wirken mit schönen Aromen aus Milchschokolade, Zimt, gelbem Steinobst, Blütenhonig und frischem Zuckerrohr, sowie etwas Kamillentee im Abgang. Aromatisch intensiv genug durch um sich auch in Drinks die nach Rhum agricole verlangen durchzusetzen und meiner Meinung nach ein idealer Einstieg in die Welt von Rhum Agricole, mit einem ungewöhnlichen Finish aus slowenischen Birnenholz. PS: unbedingt im Donga Punch cocktail ausprobieren (smugglers cove)!
