#4682 27.93.2024 Tasting with Fabian enjoying a few good rums and good food. Nose Light and fresh, light roasted wood, fruits, light floral, good balance. Palate Oily, light wood, faint roasted, fruits, faint herbs, light anise, faint nutts, naturally sweet. Finish Medium long, round, naturally sweet, light caramel, faibt anise, dried fruit. Already ordered 2 bottles due for release this coming Saturday 😊 In the morning the empty glass has light chocolate and really nice prunes.

My first 2011 PM (there are only four listed in the database). Fresh on the nose, aniseed, green peppers, citrus fruits (almost a bit like Tic Tac Orange). Less of the olive that I get on the nose of many other continental PMs. On the palate, nutmeg, barrel, nut, also a slight sweetness. Not a high-flyer, but nothing that bothers me either...

My first young PM and I have to say I really like it! It's not outstanding, but very pleasant and drinkable. On the nose, I perceive fresh herbal and chamomile tea aromas. There are also some sweet aromas. These herbal notes continue on the palate, soft and oily! Nutmeg and aniseed are also recognizable. The same applies to the finish. Great bottling

First of all, I have to say that I expected a little more from this bottling. Basically, it's really not bad, but unfortunately not outstanding. It seems a little thin to me. But the taste is definitely good. But I wouldn't need another bottle right now. But I will taste it again at my leisure.

8,7:On the nose, the first impression we get is a very fresh with tea, grassy, vegetal with green peppers, fruity with citrus fruits and banana, the wood is slightly roasted, spicy with vanilla, cardamom and anise, some hint of whisky pops out. On aeration, the molasses is candied, flowery and herbaceous, an apple joins, the wood is slightly resinous, nutty and cocoa surprises us late in the sniffing game, also a bit metallic patina. 8,5:On the palate, the attack is sweet with candied molasses, herbaceous and flowery, the wood is slightly roasted with nuts and white chocolate, spicy with anise, pepper, nutmeg and vanilla, the fruits are tropical with banana, citrus and some plum is there. On oxidation, black tea and grassy tones join, perhaps menthol. 8,6:The finish is round, dry and tannic, slightly metallic, still a bit sweet with licorice, caramel, there are spicy notes, nuts and strong oak presence, the molasses is grassy, peated, some chamomile hints might be there and pencil shavings, dried fruits undertones.

Not a sensation, but not bad either. A solid continental PM that tastes good despite its very young age (for a PM). In comparison with the RDL PM rx16421 (much older and more expensive) tasted today, it's actually almost on a par and therefore the better deal for me. The only negative: something about the nose reminds me of whisky
Review by Schnubbii
I find banana and black tea on the nose, which makes me want more. Black tea on the palate as well, the banana a little more subtle than on the nose, but with a little cotton candy. The finish is relatively short and sweet. Not particularly complex, but for me it's still a pretty tasty rum.

Good light PM, it comes less from the fruit, more from the barrel. Fresh, woody, spicy.

Excellent. Distinct. A lot of port Mourant taste, that wooden wet peaty taste.
