Mainly smells of caramel and vanilla with dried dates. Taste: Higher sweetness but still bearable. Mostly caramel with a bit of dried fruit and vanilla. Shame about the weird finish where some caramel bitterness disturbs. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth 🙈

Read full review →This is a smooth sweetened rum as an alternative, for example, to Diplomatico or Zacapa with honest tropical aging, and I think that thanks to a strong story and a nice bottle, it will be a good gift for fans of Venezuelan and sweeter rums. For me personally, it could be less sweet, but I think it is a very pleasant, drinkable 15-year-old rum for a mass audience at a reasonable price.
