Most helpful positive review
The nose is very sweet and fruity. Foreground of yellow fruits (apricot/peach), plus vanilla, tea and subtle chamomile. On the palate then light menthol notes, peach, slightly bitter and quite dry. Compared to the Australians tasted in parallel, it unfortunately falls a bit on the palate. But I really like the nose here.

Intense on the nose with the classic continental fruit basket which I associate with Obstler. Quality-wise good but (as basically almost all Austrailins I had so far) not my cup of tea). Similar on the palate: continental fruits yet with a strong soapy note which I also often find in Australian releases.

After the repeated failure of Belize last night, the sampler journey continued with DomM to Australia. I've already had a few in the glass and have concluded for myself that it probably won't become my new favorite profile either.

Comes very fruity on the nose right away, reminds me a bit of a fruity beer from the aroma. Lots of yellow fruits, I like that very much. The fruits are definitely there on the palate, but roasted aromas dominate here and it goes more into the dry corner. In the finish then chocolate with fruits. Somehow I now get a soapy note which I don't like at all.🙄

Basically, the slightly accessible and pleasant character of Beenleigh with the yellow fruits, honey and toasted wood aromas is clearly recognizable here. However, this rum also has a certain alcoholic sharpness in the mouth, which sometimes reminds me of a not-so-great fruit brandy, and also a subtly pronounced, perfumed soap note, which somewhat clouds my enjoyment. I've had clearly better single cask releases from this distillery in the glass.

Really tasty rum. On the nose refreshing apricot notes, on the taste initially briefly dirty, then the cask, mocha, and leather notes come through, which give the fruity a good compliment. The apricot remains long in the finish.

Quite a woody affair. Rarely had a rum that tastes so intensely of wood. Fruity aromas can also be tasted. Especially pear. Alcohol is not so nicely balanced. The finish, however, is long and warm with plenty of wood and pear again.
