What can you say about this Swell bottling? First of all, finally keep to your release date 😉 Otherwise there's not much to say about it, it delivers what you'd expect, but it's not a mega-bringer either neat or in a daiquiri that stands out from other bottlings. A good average rum that has a higher price compared to others of the same quality, as usual with Swell.

#4797 27.07.2024 Relaxing at home with some samples while finishing @Band of Brothers@ on Max. Nose Medium intense, fresh, citrus, light floral, light pear, light herbal, spice. Palate Oily, medium spicy, warm, citrus, light sugarcane, light herbs, light vegetal. Finish Medium long, fresh, oily, warm, medium dry, citrus, light pear. The empty glass has stronger herbal notes as well as light grapefruit.

Ein recht guter Agricole, der sich nahtlos in die Reihe der mittlerweile oft verfügbaren guten unaged Agricoles einreiht. Einzig der Alkohol ist nicht so gut eingebunden und stört das ansonsten harmonische Gesamtbild

Da hat swell aber mal einen interessanten ungelagerten ausgewählt. In der Nase noch sehr Agricole typische Zitrusfrucht das Zuckerrohr kommt gut durch das ganze ist sehr balanciert. Am Gaumen rückt dann deutlich die Würze nach vorn. Viel Pfeffer bisweilen speckig dominiert. Im Finish dann auch eher erdige würzige Eindrücke. Finde daa Destillat sehr spannend und bin gespannt wie er sich im ti Punch macht, der Kernfunktion von weißem Agricole. Heute zum bottle kill im Ti Punch nacht dieser Agricole einen ausgezeichneten Eindruck dafür geht's einen Punkt rauf👍

Un bon Papa Rouyo qui a du cœur et du caractère. Le nez est telle une énorme canne à sucre dans laquelle on aurait croqué dedans. On retrouve pas mal de notes florales et herbacées (thé, thym) mais aussi des épices (canne poivrée) et des fruits (agrumes et fruits exotiques). C’est plutôt rond, équilibré et assez sec au nez. L’attaque en bouche est très harmonieuse. La fraîcheur de la canne et les notes végétales sont contestées par les épices et des notes pâtissières et mielleuses. Les fruits secs et les agrumes rajoutent de la rondeur à ce profil déjà élégant et quelque peu épais en bouche. L’alcool est bien intégré. La finale est de longueur moyenne, à la fois chaude et épicée, mais toujours soutenue par le côté terreux et frais du terroir. Une bonne mise en bouteille de chez Swell, qui avec cette cuvée continue son expansion dans le secteur du rhum blanc premium. Le rapport qualité / prix reste assez bon.

Hier jetzt ein Papa Rouyo von Swell the Spirits. Gehe da bei den Bewertungen mit. Ist in Nase und Gaumen sehr pflanzlich und floral. In der Nase ist noch etwas Olive erkennbar, am Gaumen noch etwas Kräuter. Alkohol könnte aber besser eingebunden sein.

Thanks to Zabo for the sample! Nose: Smells like a Classic agricole, sugarcane, fruity(citrus and pear) , fresh, floral, olive. Palate: Spicy… but still the same notes… Have I detected a lychee note here?🤔 Finish: Medium long, dry, with a bitter note like dark chocolate. BTW this is my first rum I have tasted from papa rouyo.

Bel embouteillage de swell . Le résultat est très rond. Le nez est agréable, dominé par le fruit (poire/framboise), et un côté végétale (herbe). Bouche : on a moins le côté fruits , c est plus agricole végétale, agrumes poivre , mais on à bien un côté sucré aussi. Final : moyen avec côté herbe et un retour leger des fruits. Je trouve les 59° plutôt bien intégrés.

First rum tasted at RhumFest 2024 😁. A very pleasant white with a distinctive character. Citrus fruits, sugar cane. Herbaceous and peppery. It's not very surprising but well done and pleasant. Nice.

Wirklich tolle Nase nach vielen Früchten, geschmacklich dann eher extrem würzig, pflanzlich und salzig bitter. Ist leider nicht wirklich mein Fall, mir fehlt hier einfach sämtliche Frucht aromatisch und diese erdig, salzig bittere Note gefällt mir leider nicht so... Ergänzung: als ti Punch macht er eine bessere Figur. Hier gesellen sich Noten von lychee und Pfirschblüte hinzu, daher leichter Bonus in der Punktevergabe. Pur 7,2 ti punch 8,0 Daher 7,6.

Notes taken at Rhum Fest 2024, Quick notes and a bit heavy palate, sorry :) We have here: an explosion on the nose, earthy cane and big sweetness (big brix?) A rum: with pep, cane, citrus, peppery or spicy notes? Finish: cane and terroir! I loved it, and bought the bottle.

The nose is rather discreet. Big sweetness on this rum. Also quite fatty. A recognizable agricultural rum. Well-balanced overall. More spicy and herbaceous on the nose, the palate is on the greedy side.

Velmi příjemná citrusová a agricole vůně. Po delším odstátí velká paráda. Chuťově je to už spíš klasika. Cukrová třtina, citrusy, hodně koření, zelené tóny. Kdyby tento rum byl méně hořký a méně svíravý, byl bych radši.

An der Nase hätte ich erstmal einen typischen ungealterten Agricole erwartet. Davon bin ich kein fan, kann mit den deftigen Aromen wie Olive, Tomate zusammen mit Pfeffer, die ich z.B. auch bei Paranubes kriege, leider nicht so viel anfangen. Ich Geschmack offenbart sich aber eine ganz nette Würze, bzw sogar ein kleines bisschen Süße, was den Rum nett abrundet. Während andere hier also recht einseitig unterwegs sind bekomme ich bei diesem Rum angenehm viel Charakter, der sich im Nachgeschmack nochmal ausweitet.
