Neat at 66% this hits hard — glue, olive brine and overripe, almost rotting tropical fruit pour out of the glass, with a wisp of smoke and a faint medicinal note underneath. The palate lands softer than the nose warns, oily and warm, with the alcohol surprisingly well tucked in. One taster catches strawberry and red fruit at the bottom. Loud, unaged Hampden with little to hide behind.

#4077 This is a fresh and intense yet well balanced release. Fruity with nice esters and a light roasted note. The palate is warm and oily and there is a very light medicinal note hidden in there. The empty glass reveals some copper and glue notes.

Thanks a lot for the sample Ralf :). Unaged rum is becoming more and more popular, so an exciting attempt back then by Velier. Taste-wise nice <>H but I just can't give more than 79.

You find the framework of the Jamaican white but the finish brings a certain sweetness and indulgence.

On the nose, olive brine overflows from the glass, accompanied by overripe, even rotten fruits. At the bottom of the glass, a slight note of strawberry - red fruits, which immediately takes me towards a Savanna Herr blind tasting. Occasional hints of smoke. Tropical fruits appear with aeration. The palate confirms the nose, but in a softer way than the nose suggested. A rich and oily texture. The alcohol is superbly integrated. A long and pleasant finish. I really like it a lot.

Convincing white high ester Jamaican. In direct comparison clearly more expressive than the releases from the Marks Collection, also ahead of the distillery sample tasted in parallel, which however came with over 10% more volume. Great selection.
