On the nose: Those familiar sweet agricole notes in a balanced form. Taste: Sweet sugarcane palate continues. Grassy, herbal, hay. Aging has toned down these notes in to good balanced palate. Alcohol is integrated very well in here. Finish: Long herbal finish. Hay, grass, minty flavours. Quite good sipper that plays nicely in the agricole flavour area.

The nose is fantastic with vegetal, nutty, wood, pastry. The palate is cane vegetable, woody, peppery, sweet on the finish, nutty, exquisite in its simplicity.

La Favorite

Avg Rating 8.1/10 over 220 Rums

La Favorite is the last working distillery inside Martinique's capital, Fort-de-France, and the island's longest continuously family-run house. Five generations of the Dormoy family have made rhum here on a 1906 steam engine that still turns the mill. It is agricole at its most unvarnished, and the community treasures its old La Flibuste vintages as some of the finest aged Martinique rum there is.
