Rhum House ReimonenQ Grande Réserve 2012

Apricot, vanilla and cream toffee lead here, with a floral, almost perfumed edge that several tasters call unmistakably Reimonenq. It's an unusually sweet agricole — more nougat and caramel than grassy — with oak sitting underneath. Blind-tasters spotted it fast for that "high recognition" profile. The 56% is mostly well-tucked, though a few found the fruit tipping slightly artificial.

#24DaysOfRum2023 - Day 11 The experience boasts a musty and spicy nose, reminiscent of blended red wine. It starts rather sweet with notes of dates, sugarcane and vanillapod. Then it slowly transforms into more spicy aromas such as licorice and cloves, before isobutanol notes strong-arm the entirety into an old wine cellar sensation with the more recognisable agricole features such as dried mushrooms, grass, green olives and a bit of stewed vegetables. After sipping, the aromas drastically change to a more nougat-driven nose, which I personally like much more than the wine powertrain. Quite the indulgence on the palate. Very sweet and nutty before again, more spicy lashes. Foremost tannic and musty, before leaning into green tea and vegetables. The finish is cloyingly sweet with fructose and nougat. An atypical sweetness for this style. It’s good, but much too sweet, too tannic, and therefore not my cup of tea.

Hinten Kamille. Was für ein aussergewöhnlicher Agricole. 8,8 Überraschend anders und deswegen so gut. Toller Tropfen!!!

Nichts desto trotz Horizont erweitert

Not be ad either. Sweet for an Agricole and lightly dry at the same time. Very fruity from opening the bottle and pouring the sip. Nice wood/oak without being too dominant. I like that you get the licorice in between the spices on this one. Price to quality is good in my humble opinion.
