Whisky & Rhum L'Esprit Single Estate Salvadoran Rum 2013
The verdict here is "solid, doesn't disappoint" more than thrilling — and the tasters mean that kindly. Think honey, marzipan, cocoa and plenty of oak, with a bourbon-cask edge and a bit of citrus freshness cutting the sweeter Spanish-style body. What surprises everyone is the proof: at 65.5% the alcohol sits remarkably well integrated, nowhere near as hot as the number suggests. One taster found the finish too short.

Review by Martin Ekrt
Vůně není příliš výrazná. Trocha ovoce, citrusů a čokolády s bourbonem. Lehce alkoholový nádech. Ochutnání vůbec neodpovídá 65%. Parádně integrovaný alkohol. Chuťově to nejsou vyloženě nějaké orgie, ale to prostě poctivý a hezky pitelný kousek.
Review by Jakob
Solid rum from El Salvador. The younger representatives of the Spanish style bring an interesting freshness to the otherwise rather sweet and heavy profile. This is somewhat at the expense of balance, but still provides pleasant tension.
Review by Martin Švojgr
Hodně sladkosti, medu, vanilky a marcipánu. Je cítit síla alkoholu ale nijak nepříjemně.
Review by Johannes
Lots of wood and vanillin.
