Whisky & Rhum Epris L'Esprit Single Estate Brazilian Rum 2011
">Cask-strength Brazilian from Epris, 12 years old at 53.1%, this pours light and fresh — not the heavy tropical thing the origin might suggest. The nose runs sugarcane, citrus and light floral, with the umburana cask giving cinnamon and baking spice without dominating. Palate stays fresh and oily: yellow fruit, pear, black tea, a peppery metallic tingle. One taster called the wood "attaque très boisée" that fades fast into a shorter, dry finish.

Somehow exciting! Aged tropically for 6 years in Umburans barrels. Light cinnamon notes, fruit, wood, baking spices.

Rhum assez original.
