#4826 26.08.2024 A nice evening with both old and new faces in Odense. Nose Medium intense, wood, light roasted, light citrus, floral, light mint, light nuts, spice, apple. Palate Balanced, medium intense, light wood, faint smoke, faint rubber, light mint, light citrus, light cherry, faint chocolate. Finish Long and warm, wood, light mint, faint rubber, faint tar, light citrus, faint chocolate, light dried fruits.

8,2:On the nose, intense, industrial with rubber, tar hints, minty molasses, oily, roasted wood notes like chocolate, caramel, leather, spicy, citrus fruits, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, molasses is floral with lavender, apple is out, nuts, pastry, toffee, spicy vanilla, baking spices and petrol hints. 8,4:On the palate, the attack is intense with industrial rubber, smoky, roasted wood notes like chocolate, oaky, spicy with pepper, allspice, vanilla, fruity with citrus, tropical, yellow fruits, cherry and apple, slightly bitter with minty molasses, fresh with tea. 8,1:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, medicinal with rubber, tar hints, oak is toasted with pastry, chocolate, spicy with cinnamon, warm, fruity with dried, citrus fruits and apple, cherry, molasses is minty.

Short and crisp: A really good young Ten Cane from an apparently quite active bourbon cask. Alcohol very well integrated, no off-notes, PLV also top and therefore gone immediately after the tasting in Odense.
