A Venezuelan rum with a barrel covered in honey, which is rather original. The nose doesn't lie, you feel the barrel's scents as if we were Winnie the Pooh searching for his pot of honey. It's sweet, slightly spicy (vanilla), toasted and with a slight fruitiness (dried fruits). Nothing crazy, but easy and catchy. The attack on the palate shows a slightly more floral honey, a somewhat fresher profile but still dominated by the apparent sweetness of the Hispanic profile. Caramel, brown sugar, spicy notes and dried and nutty fruits (walnut) form a light, gourmand and easy approach profile. The alcohol integration is correct, even if the strength is relatively low. The finish continues what the rum offers on the palate. It's a bit darker, a bit heavier on the sugar, but without extravagance. Although the aging is not uninteresting, it remains above all a rum that allows the newly created Bordeaux distillery to have a product to sell before getting started.
