As I am a big Liberation fan, it is a must to taste this rum and my expectations are correspondingly high. First let it breathe for a long time, it becomes more complex and fresher. The Liberation markers are clearly recognizable: almond, apricot and peach. Sparkling citrus fruit. Very complex, alcohol perfectly integrated. From memory a little woodier and darker than the regular 2015 Integrale. Outstanding mouthfeel, warm and velvety. 😍 The finish is fine, but relatively short and not particularly powerful. A great rum and another reason for the reputation of the Liberation series. However, I have to say that I like RX880 a touch better, this one is a little simpler and lacks the sunny cheerfulness.😎😎😎😎

This is a delight, from the nose to the finish! The longer it lingers in the glass, the more complex it develops. This mixture of fruit, spice, wood and some metallic chemicals is just great! Alcohol perfectly integrated, top bottling

Sehr schöner Rum. Für eine höhere Bewertung dominiert mir der Weinfass Einfluss in der Nase etwas zu stark. Weiss aber durchaus zu überzeuegen mit sehr komplexen Noten. Sehr Fruchtig und gut eingebundenem Alkohol. RR2007 gefällt mir eine Spur besser.

I like it very much! With the Rhum Rhums I find the wine barrel influence perfectly integrated and not at all disturbing. Certainly one of the best Rhum Liberations. I'll have to compare it with the Rr07 soon...

Slightly below 2012 this is another masterpiece from the Capovilla and Gargano labeled duo! A great intensity throughout the tasting, citrus fruit and wood dominate and are perfectly in harmony with each other! It also has a nice roasted part but never invasive! Quality of sugarcane and distillation super!

heute nochmal den Rest aus dem Sample im 1920s blenders glass probiert. Bei Haribo gibt es die Sorte Weinland, daran erinnert mich die Nase, also ordentlich saure Früchte, Waldbeeren, garniert mit etwas Ahoi Brause. Mit zunehmender Verweildauer im Glas dann auch mehr Vanille und Karamell. Am Gaumen sehr kräftig und intensiv, Gewürze, Espresso, Tannine und leicht modriges Fass im Abgang. Der fordert schon ziemlich (kein idealer Urlaubs-Sipper). Für mich trifft er es auch nicht ganz, da fand ich den Liberation Integrale 2012 (2007) noch etwas besser und harmonischer. Auf jeden Fall besten Dank nach Wien für das Sample!

This was one of the best ones in the tasting. Slightly less fruity and more rubber on the nose and palate compared to the others. The smoky oak is still there and I really like that. Had to rest this one for almost 30 minutes but then it released all its yumminess.

Ich muss zugeben, dass ich in der Nase zum Anfang nur modrigen Sumpf gerochen habe. Mit wirklich viel Zeit entwickeln sich aber herrliche Aromen (wobei mir der Weinfasseinfluss fast ein wenig zu dominant ist). In Gaumen und Abgang ein echter Traum! Alkohol perfekt eingebunden!

Suite dégustation Rhum Rhum Libération full proof. 👃 Très beau boisé épicé (cannelle, vanille douce, canne à sucre, noix de pécan), caramel au beurre. Fruits secs du Cognac, pêche cuite, marmelade d'orange, citron vert confit, un peu de fenouil rôti. Tanins du vin rouge, vieux agricole, léger solvant. Un nez chaud, évolutif, intense et élégant. 😋 Les agrumes (citron vert), boisé fin, on retrouve la cannelle, la vanille, quelques petits piments. C'est herbacé, sur la tige de la canne, Infusion de tilleul, menthe légère. Bouche légèrement tannique, sapide, et complexe. ⛳ Longue finale sur un boisé torréfié, mousse du café et chocolat amer, pâte d'amandes, canne à sucre séchée, fruits secs, pêches presque confites. 💡 Au coude à coude avec le FP 2012. Pour le moment, j'ai une nette préfèrence pour ce LMDW.

Oh wow, eigentlich ist das ja nicht unbedingt mein Lieblingsprofil, aber diese Bielle Rhum Rhum Liberation von Velier begeistern mich immer wieder. Glaube da gibt es wirklich keine schlechte Abfüllung.

Encore une belle claque. Pour moi il fait partie des meilleurs Bielle que j’ai pu déguster. C’est superbe. Belle complexité, on ressent le vieillissement en fût de vin, qui me plait beaucoup Alcool superbement bien intégré, et encore meilleur après 30 minutes d’aération.. très belle longueur en bouche. Un très très bon jus ❤️❤️❤️

Mein erster Rhum Rhum, wollte mal testen bevor ich eventuell den neuen The Sins bestelle. Und was soll ich sagen? Ein ganz toller, sehr komplexer Rum. Trotz seines jungen Alters. Das Weinfass sxhmecke ich kaum raus. Lässt man ihm Zeit zum Atmen wird man mit einer tollen Komplexität belohnt, die Aromen ändern sich fast minütlich. Klasse!!!

Dés le premier nez je sent déjà une certaine douceur genre crème brûlée vanillé avec des fruit rôti comme de la pêche et de l'abricot. Au fil du temps je trouve qu'il change pas mal et devient de plus en plus concentré avec un boisé très élégant et un léger côté vineux, je pourrais y rester des heures tellement c'est complexe ! La bouche est moins fruité que le nez, plus fumée tannique caoutchouteuse avec du café de la cannelle et de la canne à sucre, légèrement vineuse aussi. Je suis un peu déçu parce que si la bouche était à la hauteur de se que le nez a révéler ça aurait était super. Mais ça reste tout de même du haut niveau.

In der Nase finde ich den hier (RX1997) etwas fruchtiger als den RX880. Dafür hat er nicht die angenehmen Mandelnoten in der Nase, die mir bei dem RX880 so gefielen. An der Nase gewinnt für mich RX880. Am Gaumen und insgesamt gefällt mir der RX1997 etwas besser, wenn man auf den Preisunterschied nicht achtet.

The nose doesn't really pick me up, too berry with a somewhat pungent smell. Much better on the palate, with a very unique profile that combines berries, wood and spices in a very interesting way. A great rum, but for the money I was expecting (even) more.

Ein sehr komplexer Rum: Fruchtnoten, aber auch viele dunkle Noten, Holz, Tanine. Die Weinfasslagerung ist gut gelungen. Teils auch Assoziationen an alte Guyanas. Der Rum braucht viel Standzeit, auch dann ist der Alkohol aber immer noch nicht wirklich gut eingebunden. Daher von mir auch keine höhere Wertung, aber immer noch ein sehr guter Rum.
