As I am a big Liberation fan, it is a must to taste this rum and my expectations are correspondingly high. First let it breathe for a long time, it becomes more complex and fresher. The Liberation markers are clearly recognizable: almond, apricot and peach. Sparkling citrus fruit. Very complex, alcohol perfectly integrated. From memory a little woodier and darker than the regular 2015 Integrale. Outstanding mouthfeel, warm and velvety. 😍 The finish is fine, but relatively short and not particularly powerful. A great rum and another reason for the reputation of the Liberation series. However, I have to say that I like RX880 a touch better, this one is a little simpler and lacks the sunny cheerfulness.😎😎😎😎

This is a delight, from the nose to the finish! The longer it lingers in the glass, the more complex it develops. This mixture of fruit, spice, wood and some metallic chemicals is just great! Alcohol perfectly integrated, top bottling

Very nice rum. For a higher rating, the wine barrel influence dominates the nose a bit too much for me. But it certainly convinces with very complex notes. Very fruity and well integrated alcohol. I like RR2007 a bit better.

I like it very much! With the Rhum Rhums I find the wine barrel influence perfectly integrated and not at all disturbing. Certainly one of the best Rhum Liberations. I'll have to compare it with the Rr07 soon...

Slightly below 2012 this is another masterpiece from the Capovilla and Gargano labeled duo! A great intensity throughout the tasting, citrus fruit and wood dominate and are perfectly in harmony with each other! It also has a nice roasted part but never invasive! Quality of sugarcane and distillation super!

Today tried the rest from the sample again in the 1920s blenders glass. At Haribo there's the 'Weinland' flavor, the nose reminds me of that, so quite sour fruits, forest berries, garnished with some Ahoi Brause. With increasing time in the glass, more vanilla and caramel come out. On the palate very strong and intense, spices, espresso, tannins and slightly musty cask in the finish. It really demands a lot (not an ideal holiday sipper). For me it doesn't quite hit the mark, I found the Liberation Integrale 2012 (2007) a bit better and more harmonious. Definitely thanks to Vienna for the sample!

This was one of the best ones in the tasting. Slightly less fruity and more rubber on the nose and palate compared to the others. The smoky oak is still there and I really like that. Had to rest this one for almost 30 minutes but then it released all its yumminess.

I have to admit that at first on the nose I only smelled moldy swamp. But with a lot of time, wonderful aromas develop (although the wine barrel influence is almost a bit too dominant for me). On the palate and finish, a real dream! Alcohol perfectly integrated!

Following tasting Rhum Rhum Libération full proof. 👃 Very beautiful spicy wood (cinnamon, soft vanilla, sugarcane, pecan nuts), butter caramel. Dried fruits from Cognac, cooked peach, orange marmalade, candied lime, a bit of roasted fennel. Tannins from red wine, old agricole, slight solvent. A warm, evolving, intense and elegant nose. 😋 Citrus (lime), fine wood, cinnamon, vanilla, some small peppers. It's herbaceous, on the cane stalk, linden infusion, light mint. Slightly tannic, tasty and complex palate. ⛳ Long finish on roasted wood, coffee foam and bitter chocolate, marzipan, dried sugarcane, dried fruits, almost candied peaches. 💡 Neck and neck with the FP 2012. For now, I clearly prefer this LMDW.

Another beautiful slap. For me, it's one of the best Bielle I've ever tasted. It's superb. Beautiful complexity, you can feel the wine barrel aging, which I really like. Alcohol is superbly well integrated, and even better after 30 minutes of aeration... very nice length on the palate. A very very good juice ❤️❤️❤️

My first Rhum Rhum, wanted to test before maybe ordering the new The Sins. And what can I say? A really great, very complex rum. Despite its young age. I hardly taste the wine cask. If you give it time to breathe, you are rewarded with great complexity, the aromas change almost every minute. Awesome!!!

From the very first nose I already smell a certain sweetness like vanilla crème brûlée with roasted fruits like peach and apricot. Over time, I find it changes quite a bit and becomes more and more concentrated with very elegant woodiness and a slight winey side, I could stay there for hours because it's so complex! The palate is less fruity than the nose, more smoky, tannic, rubbery with coffee, cinnamon, and sugarcane, slightly winey too. I'm a bit disappointed because if the palate matched what the nose revealed, it would have been great. But it still remains top level.

On the nose, I find this one (RX1997) a bit fruitier than the RX880. However, it doesn't have the pleasant almond notes on the nose that I liked so much in the RX880. On the nose, RX880 wins for me. On the palate and overall, I like RX1997 a bit better if you don't consider the price difference.

The nose doesn't really pick me up, too berry with a somewhat pungent smell. Much better on the palate, with a very unique profile that combines berries, wood and spices in a very interesting way. A great rum, but for the money I was expecting (even) more.

A very complex rum: fruit notes, but also many dark notes, wood, tannins. The wine cask aging is well done. Sometimes reminds me of old Guyanas. The rum needs a lot of standing time, even then the alcohol is still not really well integrated. Therefore no higher rating from me, but still a very good rum.
