Masam Port Mourant Silvano's Collection PM 2003
Exotic fruit and candied fruit lead here, with the usual Port Mourant smoke-toast-wood dialed back. Tasters call it more elegant and less "wet wood" than a typical PM, oily and full on the palate with pepper, anise and a touch of licorice. The 53.5% is well integrated, so it drinks warm rather than hot. A softer, fruitier take on Guyanese pot still.
The community says- Elegant fruity nose
- Oily full body
- But: Heavy on palate

Aggregated from 19 community reviews.
Elegant, fruity Port Mourant, less wet wood Fans of Port Mourant find this a gentler, fruitier version — elegant nose, oily and heavy palate, pepper and anise. Some feel it loses the classic damp-wood weight, others love that.

No detours, and we might as well say it straight out: this is a far cry from the typical PM with its humid, woody DNA. These are more delicate, charming rums. The 2 bottlings are very comparable: Gourmet nose of exotic fruits, with hints of vanilla and pepper. The smoky-toasty-woody notes of the PMs are present, but less omnipresent than usual. Fat on the palate! Peppery, slightly iodized-smoky notes. The alcohol is perfectly integrated. Molasses lingers and rounds out the whole. Personally, I prefer the 1st bottling, which is fruitier.
