On the nose, I would have thought more of a TDL than a Caroni. Wood, soft fruits like well-ripened apricot, menthol. It’s engaging. On the palate, the alcohol is well present. Woody framework and surprisingly sweet. A discreet fruit. Pepper. A sensation of burnt sugar and maybe a slightly dirty touch like tar, but discreet. Rather pleasant in the end. I like this profile. Edit: Discreet Caroni but not without interest. Nice.
