Wow, the next strong rum from Feller, can even find something to like in the port wine cask here. Red fruits, berries, and vanilla on the nose. On the palate definitely port wine, but again red fruits and berries, as well as vanilla.

Smoother at similar alcohol content than the Feller from the Amarone cask (RX21529), but also more boring because of that. A good distillate, but for me without recognizability. You just sip it away...

On the nose, this guy remains very unobtrusive. On the palate, a very clean distillate. Some wood, molasses, and only very subtle port wine notes. A few light spices, that's it. Good as a daily sipper without being exciting.

#6494 15.03.2026 Running some samples after a nice day out meeting up with a friend I have not seen in 15 years. When looking at the price tag of this bottling you get a lot for your money. The nose is fresh and fruity with nice cherries, plum, chocolate and Port. The palate is naturally sweet and oily with dried fruit, cinnamon and light wood. The finish is medium to long and well balanced with fruits, light chocolate and cinnamon.

Der Feller Rumreich mit Ruby Portfinish verströmt vom ersten Moment ein beeriges Aroma. In der Nase dominieren rote, beerige Früchte, Vanille, leichte Fassnoten und eine dezente Rauchigkeit. Am Gaumen sehr mild, leicht und zusätzliche zu der Nase noch Lakritze und, wen wundert es, Portwein. Im Nachklang ein leichtes alkoholisches Brennen, eine leicht metallische Note. Für mich ist Beides aber nicht störend. Im Gesamten ein sehr runder Rum. Ich hatte selten ein so gut integriertes Portfinish im Glas gehabt.

The nose is berry-dominated with additional grapes, lots of vanilla, roasted wood, some molasses and various spices. On the entry, a berry sweetness comes through, played around by vanilla, citrus peels and a bit of licorice. In the background, you can still feel a bit of walnut. The alcohol is very well integrated. We prefer the Cognac variant, even though this one has a higher "sipping factor."
