The best of all the single vintages from Diplomatico. As an investment this one has gone up in price 10fold since release.

I remember a rum tasting with some rum friends, we tasted at least 3 bottles of Diplomático Vintage, starting with the 1997 vintage. For me it was honestly a disappointment, being such an acclaimed and sought after bottle, I imagined a very complex and exquisite rum, but it did not go beyond being a pleasant rum with a profile full of Pedro Ximénez wine. A very well known profile and not much to my liking.
