Swell de Spirits Jamaican Rum High Ester Unaged (Rhum Fest Paris) 2024
Olive brine, ripe pineapple and lemon zest hit first, with that medicinal glue-and-ester edge you'd expect from a Jamaican white. Several tasters note it drinks oilier and rounder than the nose suggests — the 58% reduction lets the fruit breathe. It's a blend (Hampden, New Yarmouth, Worthy Park leanings come up), unaged and lively. People found it both sippable and built for cocktails.
- Bright citrus and fruit
- Oily, rounded texture
- Savory olive note

Funky, oily Jamaican white with olive bite Tasters liked this funky white blend: bright citrus, overripe fruit and a savory olive streak, kept oily and drinkable by the 58% strength. One even won over a self-described white-rum skeptic.

A rum tasted at Rhum Fest in 2024. Lovely aromas marked by fruit, especially citrus, particularly lemon. The palate is lively at first, then everything falls into place. A touch of olive comes through on the finish, which is rather long for this type of rum.

Notes taken at Rhum Fest 2024, Quick notes and a bit heavy palate, sorry :) We have here: a beautiful jamaicain, a rather confusing blend as it mixes olive, fruit and light esters. A rum: quite buttery all the same, it made quite an impression on me Finish: medium (but given the palate, it's hard to be precise), fruity I really enjoyed it!

A resolutely Jamaican blend, with a fine sense of integration. The esters are present, as are the very ripe fruits, but that's not all. The influence of Worthy Park and New Yarmouth can be felt, adding roundness. Interesting.
Review by TheRhumhoe
