I don't know where they got their hands on this sample, but I'm happy they did. This is a very, very rare bottle and I love it. I let it rest for 15-20 minutes before having a go. Fruity and intense. Love the dry palate and finish. The ABV is really well integrated.

Yeah, this one is really outstanding, truly very balanced, just like the description says. Otherwise similar to the other Bielle, just better, woody, vanilla, chocolate and caramel are in there, but also tropical fruits and salt.

Rhum Bielle LMDW 2001 X-Tasting: A unique set that Daniel dug up here. Over time, this rum becomes more and more complex, the aromas more intense. You can literally sit with the glass forever and discover new aromas! Black tea and leather are really intense. The alcohol is perfectly integrated!

Number 2 of the Bielle set. This bottling is a bit more intense on the nose but extremely smooth and complex on the palate... it gently spreads there, letting its aromas of chocolate, wood, caramel, dried fruits, vanilla, and coffee notes run free... this continues in the long finish... top-notch

Epic BIELLE 2001 tasting. A great vintage, the set was consistently high quality. Only RX5741 and RX4918 were a bit too woody/bitter for me. There was also a clear winner, the cask selected by Kirsch was for me the most intense, most harmonious. Here was a perfect mix of wood, fruit and spices. The blend is also great, but at 45% a bit weak on the palate. Overall I think the highest quality set I've tasted and I think you will never get one like this again.

Today I'm testing a few Bielles from BananaJoe's Megasplit. Compared to each other, these bottlings are at a very high level and differ only minimally. Although I'm not the biggest fan of the profile, it really grabbed me.

Big Bielle 2001 Cross-Tasting: Orange + chocolate + berries + pastries + wood would be my short description. On one hand, greasy pastries like croissants filled with orange marmalade. On the other hand, a subtle chocolate - nut - nougat note that seamlessly connects to the orange peel. Along with some dark berries and a pleasant dry woodiness. A bit of vanilla, a bit of sea salt added. Very elegant and complex without being too demanding. Alcohol very well integrated!

Ouhaouuuuu it's magnificent 🤩 Intense aromas, perfect integration of alcohol, and superb length 😍 This juice is a pure marvel, and well worth the detour. Very happy to have been able to get my hands on this sample 😍😍
