Valinch & Mallet Hampden Sta(r)um (RossovermiglioArte) <>H 2014

People already into Hampden who want the funk without the usual battering ram will click with this one. Pineapple, tropical fruit, sharp esters and a young, green-wood edge, all riding on well-integrated 54.8% heat. Several tasters call it milder and rounder than other 2014 <>H bottlings, "almost watery" to one, with a slightly bitter finish that a few flag.

The community says
  • Balanced ester fruit
  • Well-integrated alcohol
  • But: Slightly bitter finish

#4726 18.05.2024 Sitting at home enjoying a few samples. Nose Fresh, light wood, fruity, ester, balanced, pineapple, overripe. Palate Round, balanced, ester, fruity, light roasted wood, banana, overripe, spice, faint floral. Finish Medium long, light wood, ester, round, light vegetal, dried fruit, light citrus. The empty glass has light herbs and some chocolate. This is a very well rounded and mild <> H in my mind and it could easily be an every day rum actually 😊

Naso ricco. Esteroso quanto basta e carico di frutta tropicale. Palato rotondo ed equilibrato. Finale deciso e abbastanza lungo.
