Here's the surprise: this German cane-juice spirit from the Black Forest reads less like rum and more like a savory vegetable garden in a glass. Olive, fresh grass, cucumber and tomato up front, then it turns unexpectedly sweet and creamy with a little raspberry. Several tasters caught a Clairin or agricole vibe. Most found it genuinely odd and interesting, even if it wasn't their thing.

RumX Adventskalender 2024 Bonus #2 Sehr abgefahrener Rum, wäre ich niemals nicht drauf gekommen. Zwar überhaupt nicht mein Profil, aber denoch spannend sehr spannend und interessant. Könnte ich mir gut als Mixer vorstellen. Vielen Dank nochmal an die Organisatoren für die vielfältige Auswahl.

Allrighty then… let’s give it a go one last time 🥲 It was a wonderful Advent calendar. Thanks to everyone involved, from the organizing team to everyone taking part int the quiz as well as people adding their notes in the app. Very vegetal nose, some minerals and saltiness as well in the beginning. Suprisingly sweet, mellow and round in the mouth. I’m guessing that the alcohol is at 40-ish %, can’t imagine it being much higher, max 43%? I can certainly understand the link to Clairin/Haiti, but the ABV is hard to match. A young sugar cane juice r(h)um, but which one 🤷♂️

Interessanter Rum aus dem Schwarzwald in Deutschland. Die Nase schon sehr deutlich die verwendeten Amontillado-Sheeryfässer ... fruchtig ... Allerdings himbeerig. Hab ich so bei einem Rum noch nicht gerochen. Im Geschmack dominieren dann eher die Kirscharomen. Mittlelanger Abgang. Sehr angenehm zu trinken.

RumX Kalender 2024 Bonus 2: Frischer Zuckerrohrsaft, Grass, Zitrus, Olivensaft. Erster Gedanke Clairin. Im Mund extrem cremig, Vanillanoten, leichte Holzwürze hinten raus. Alkohol kaum spürbar, extrem rund. Erst im eher kurzen Finish kommt ein wenig Schärfe dazu. Gefällt mir, wenn auch ein wenig eindimensional.

RumX Adventskalender 2024: Nr. 26 Letzter Rum im Kalender von 2024. Dieser Rum hat viel pflanzliches (Olive, Basilikum). Denke er hat wohl keine lange Lagerung im Fass gehabt. Alkohol soweit gut eingebunden.

Ein Exot aus dem Schwarzwald und ohne Erwartungen hat mich die Abfüllung durchaus positiv überrascht. Zuckerrohr, pflanzliche Noten, bisschen Himbeere. Leider mir persönlich zu süß und mit sehr dünnen Abgang.

RumX Adventskalender 2024 Bonus Türchen Nummer 26: In der Nase sehr pflanzlich / deftig. Vor allem Grad, Tomate, Oliven. Geschmacklich daher kaum überraschend, außer dass der Rum etwas süßer ist als man erwartet.

Sehr spannend! Man schmeckt leichte Agricole-Noten, dann kommen rote Früchte, etwas Hefe. Etwas dünn, aber angenehmer Geschmack.

RumX Adventskalender 2024 Bonus 2. Dieser gefällt mir nicht so gut. Zu pflanzlich. Aber insgesamt lässt sich sagen, dies war ein Top-Kalender. Vielen Dank dafür an das gesamte RumX Team. Der Beste für mich war der Appleton Estate. Bleiben in der Summe 4x9er Bewertung und 3x7er Bewertungen, der Rest im 8er Bereich. Vielen Dank nochmal.

Adventkalender RumX 26 Total ungewöhnlicher Rum die Nase ist sehr Agricole ähnlich. Im Gescack dann irgendwie besser unfassbar cremige und süßlich Noten mit weiterhin pflanzlichen Geschmäcker. Der Abgang ist leider zu kurz allerdings weiterhin sehr samtig weich. Insgesamt allerdings nichts wirklich unfassbare. Aber sehr interessant zu probieren.

RumX Advent Calendar, day 26. A vegetal, floral nose with hints of vegetable soup and a slight medicinal note. In short, not my favorite nose by far. The palate is clearly floral, still with that strange vegetable soup aspect. The medicinal side is also present with fruit, pineapple and acerola. The finish is short, with the bitter woodiness and medicinal edge lingering longer. Tasted again and it seems better, but these vegetable soup notes are too strange for my taste.

Très végétal du début à la fin. Simple et sans grand intérêt. Seule la note de prune en bouche me semble sympa. Cela m'a fait penser à un ESB (agricole) mais plus gras. Ne m'a franchement pas convaincu.

Weihnachtsaufarbeitung letzter Teil … fruchtige Nase nach süßem Zuckerrohrsaft mit viel pflnzlichen Komponenten (Olive, Gemüse). Ok. Am Gaumen dann das Gleiche, aber in süß mit Schokolade und Karamell. Sehr unpassend für meinen Geschmack. Aber ich bin ja auch Team Melasse

Tag 26 des RumX-Adventskalenders: Dieses deutsche Zuckerrohrdestillat ist durch sehr pflanzliche, fast schon gemüsige, süße Zuckerrohrnoten geprägt. An Früchten kann ich nur Himbeere ausmachen, ansonsten bestimmen Cocktailtomaten, rote Gemüsepaprika und eine frische Gurken-Kürbis-Kombination die Aromenlandschaft. Vom Fass ist kaum was auszumachen, einzig ein etwas holziger Nachgeschmack setzt sich durch. Nett, diesen Rum mal probiert zu haben, aber meinen Geschmack trifft er kaum und er ist mir ehrlich gesagt auch zu süß.
