I am an amateur and uncomfortable with sharing tasting notes but will in this case since there does not seem to be many posts on this rhum in RumX. The aroma is in general a bit sweeter than the taste, carrying notes of sweeter toffee and perhaps sugar over the more dominant baking spices and vanilla. On the tongue it seems to lose the sweeter side and concentrates more on the baking spices, vanilla as well as woody tones. A bit of a burn to my inexperienced palate, as well. The finish unfortunately for me loses its spicy character and retains the burn a tiny bit longer, but is not lingering. All in all I struggle to come up with such terms I see thrown around with abandon here. In short, it burns a tiny bit more than I prefer and surprisingly I enjoyed the J.Bally Blanc 50% quite a bit more. Though I am sure that's up to my inexperience and I shall have to revisit this rum in a year or two. Take this for what you will. Please someone who knows what they're doing post a tasting note here.
