Weird and Blind tasting @Artur: Another piece of history! Molasses and caramel clearly dominate. Nice sweetness, surprisingly complex, reminds me of a navy blend.

Und die letzten 3 aus Arturs Weird and Blind tasting. Nochmal vielen Dank dafür. Chapeau. Dieser war für mich der Beste der Reihe. Am schlechtesten fand ich den Captain Morgan 0,00. Ist für mich überhaupt kein Rumersatz.

First of all, a BIG THANK YOU to TheDunderHut for being part of the Wird&Blind set again. Together with DomM, this task was taken on. Unfortunately, no unicorn was there, but great rare stuff was tried that you don't usually get so easily. The only thing I really missed were the stories about each individual rum of the spliter.

A rare or also old bottling that is home to the roasted, woody, and burnt caramel side. Not a top performer, but quite interesting and nice to have had something like this in the glass.

7,8:On the nose, burnt, charred wood with fudge, dark chocolate, caramel, roasted nuts, spicy with umami, metallic patina, iodine, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, the molasses is vegetal with black tea, soy sauce, dark with licorice, leather, burnt sugar and walnuts are obvious, finally prunes. 7,5:On the palate, the attack is intense, dark, navy like with roasted wood notes like caramel, nuts, cocoa, fudge, spicy with umami, bitter with metallic patina, iodine, dark molasses with licorice, vegetal with black tea, soy sauce, as the fruits are dried, tropical and citrus. 7,6:The finish is medium long, dry, the wood is charred with caramel, nuts, coffee, burnt sugar, the molasses is bitter, there is still a metallic patina..

Arturs Weird & Blind Tasting #12: ein für mich neues Geschmacksprofil das nach Gebrannten Mandeln und Karamellbonbons schmeckt. Fruchtaromen sind nur in Gaumen leicht wahrnehmbar. Für mich der Höhepunkt der Tastingreihe - Danke Artur!

Weird and Blind #12 I received a really nice set from forum member TheDunderHut, where you never know what you're going to get. It contains some delicious, unique rums that I normally wouldn't try. I really enjoyed it. This sample: the roasted almonds and caramel are the two flavors that definitely dominate. A fairly full, dark flavor. The finish is medium. This is definitely a delicious rum.

Weird and blind tasting - the color can't possibly come from aging. The first nose comes across like an attempt to recreate a Foursquare ECS with the kids' chemistry set. Exaggerated, artificial sweetness, too pleasing color - but overall it tastes somewhat okay. Even though the product has been heavily tuned in color and aromas.

On the nose there is a lot of burnt caramel. Very dark and intense. Lacks complexity unfortunately. I like it more on the palate. Here we are in dark Demerara territory. Again, a very dark profile but much better balanced than the nose. Some dried fruits towards the finish.
