This is an amazing rum and a pleasant surprise. Compared to the younger 23 year version this one is far more mature and well rounded. The price tag is way below the quality of this rum so go get one.
Review by Émile Shevek
The nose is interesting with molasses, chocolate, tobacco, leather and some wood. The palate is sweet with caramel, coffee, raisins and bourbon but at the same time has dry notes of leather, wood, tobacco and still more smoky and slightly peppery notes in the background, overall it is full-bodied, round and with a fairly persistent finish. Deeper and more complex than the 40° version where the smoky and dry notes are missing. Really good value for money. In the empty smoked glass. Thanks to W00tan for the opportunity

What is in the smell, you will also find in the taste. In terms of texture and strength, the aroma and taste are perfectly balanced, so the flavors are also highly concentrated, which is great. Cedar wood, leather and chocolate dominate. Licorice, bittersweet, a hint of acid in the aftertaste 👍😁

Très bon rhum ,prix autour des 70 euros. Mais qui a ce mérite de nous faire connaître de nouveau horizon avec un goût des plus surprenant et une couleur dans le verre des plus agréables.

Definitely a whole lot better than the 40% version. The nose is very good and complex for a Spanish rum. This rum also has a lot of power in the mouth. But is the extra price worth it? If you can get this rum on offer, probably yes.

Admittedly quite plain on the nose (wood and varnish dominate) but in the mouth then mainly sweet, spicy, woody. Nice taste even if I do not trust this sweetness. The alcohol is strong but still mild and well integrated. For newcomers who want to try something with more than 40% in any case prima suitable. Do not regret it to have bought even if you could have gotten good alternatives

Very great color, has a very intense, rough, strong smell. What I like best is that it lingers, the finish seems extremely long.

Typischer Rum aus der Dom Rep. Schöne Schokolade, Kaffee, Orange, und natürlich süße.
