This rum is unmistakably an Engenhos do Norte on the nose, just how I like it. Especially musty with wood and cherry aromas. Compared to other Single Casks, this bottling is very sweet, the balance is somewhat lacking, it comes across as alcoholic/metallic and inappropriately vegetal.

Typical Engenhos do Norte. Very drinkable with aromas of dark and sweet berries. Always accompanied by a not at all disturbing mustiness and old wet wood. You either like it or you don't. I do the former. If the alcohol were better integrated here, I would give it a better rating.
