Day trip Bielefeld April 2025. Shop vom Fass. Honestly, the rums from vom Fass are quite okay, except for the two that follow :-) Vanilla and wood we have here on the nose. On the palate then rather orange and many spices. Worth trying.

Ein klassischer, weicher Venezuela-Stil. Etwas Vanille, reife Tropenfrüchte, Orange und dezentes Eichenholz bestimmen das Profil. Die Reifung im Fass sorgt für eine runde, samtige Art, allerdings fehlt es ihm etwas an Spannung und Komplexität. Er wirkt angenehm zugänglich, insgesamt aber gewöhnlich und austauschbar.

A solid rum from Venezuela which lacks that certain something. What I find very unfortunate is the fact that this rum has color added. Very unnecessary. The 12 years of aging are very present without overpowering the rum. Well balanced but too boring for sipping neat. A good mixer nevertheless.
