Red and yellow fruit up front — jam, marmalade, candied fruit — then vanilla and a toasted oak edge that grows on this 2013 Bielle. At 45% the attack is round and gentle, with a slightly dry bitterness closing things out. Several tasters found the nose more gourmand than the palate, which reads a touch flatter and woodier than earlier vintages. Give it air and it opens up.

#5723 27.09.2025 Day one of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. Another pretty OK release in my mind. Wood and spices are well balanced with some light varnish, caramel, dried fruits and nutts.

Nez très fruité et gourmand. La bouche l'est moins, voire un peu plus plate. Le bois est assez peu présent. Une légère amertume en fin de bouche. Texture agréable. Il faut le laisser respirer : la bouche gagne alors en intensité. A comparer avec d'autres agricoles au profil similaire.

Whisky Live Paris 2025 - to be tasted again to confirm the score and notes. Easy going Bielle, the reduction improved the pleasure to drink this rum without impairing the profile. Yet, the rum is not worth the premium price they're asking for it.

10 years particularly balanced, a taste of vanilla, burnt sugar, an amber color that recalls the passage in bourbon cask. A slightly dry bitterness in the finish. Millésimé agricole rum that deserves to be known.

A vintage different from the previous ones in the same range, with a less refined side, more focused on woodiness and burnt sugar on the palate, which gradually take over the initial fruity and sweet notes. The bitterness wraps the finish. Unique tones for a Bielle in official bottling.

In the continuity of the 10 years from Bielle. Very beautiful gourmand nose, with the fruits present (yellow and red flesh), sugarcane, a bit woody and spicy (vanilla). The palate is quite close to the nose, a round attack not aggressive, jammy side, marmalade, candied fruits, nice balance with the slightly toasted woody side. The vanilla is also present. A soft and long finish on the woody and marmalade side.

Let's see how it evolves. For now more on the woody side. Losing the orange-salty gourmandise of 2011. Almost like Martinique, the roasted cocoa note is original. Let's say that freshness is joined by complexity and roundness of the wood. V2 82
