A rum tasted at the Rhum Fest in 2024. An unmistakable wine (malvasia) nose. The wood is discreet, a bit of sweetness. The finish is average but rather vegetal and sweet. A rum that convinced me less than the No.1, the aging in Madeira malvasia cask being a bit too marked for my taste.

Tasted very early on the first day of RhumFest Paris 2024 so my note is a bit old but I rather liked the first amber from this distillery. No doubt about the origin, these Madeira rums are very typical. Here, I recall a rum very marked and sweetened by the Portuguese wine cask in which it rested. Pleasant and promising.
