You don't expect a 30-year Cuban to read half-agricole, but that's the surprise here: one taster called it a hybrid of agricole and molasses, even "bylinný schnapps" (herbal schnapps). Under that you get caramel, cedar cigar-box wood, dark chocolate and tropical fruit, with a faint earthy-fermented edge. At 60.5% it's warm but rounded, and the nose is more layered than the palate.

#4757 22.06.2024 Nice tasting afternoon and evening with Hannes at the shop in Odense. Nose Fresh, fruity, spice, light caramel, faint dried fruit, light wood, faint smoke. Palate Warm, light wood, fruits, light citrus, faint cherry, light caramel, faint chocolate, light tobacco. Finish Medium to long, light wood, light tobacco, dried fruit, light caramel, faint leather.

Rum Friendly Club Advent Calendar Day 3. A nose both soft, brown sugar but without excess and dry, where you clearly feel the influence of the wood. Dark chocolate, caramel and a slightly fermented and earthy vegetal side. Also fruits, tropical fruits well present. The palate is ample, young with lots of cedar wood (cigar box) and the fruits, caramel are not far. A simpler palate than the nose. The finish is moderately long and the wood, caramel remain for a long time.

Interesting aroma, quite atypical for molasses, although after longer testing it seems quite different again. A kind of hybrid between Agricole and molasses. The taste is totally crazy. It reminds me of herbal schnapps. I like the uniqueness. A distinctive piece.
