low Ester Hampden with fruit that is a little more yellow and overripe tropical (guava, gassy mango, jackfruit) in combination with pineapple (normal and grilled) and lemons. Hampden spices, vanilla, pepper, wood, restrained esters and some solvent. Almond, chocolate and tobacco are also present. Quite tasty, low acidity 👌

Not bad, but unfortunately anything but particularly good in my opinion. I'm bothered by a penetrating petrol note on the nose as well as on the palate and in the finish, and very intense roasted aromas. Could have a lot more fruit esters for my taste, but the wood is quite present here. The alcohol could also be better integrated. It's just not really round overall, sorry.

Wow, I really had no great expectations of this rum. I would classify it more in the Low Ester Hampden category. But the taste is really good. More on the light easy sipper side for in between. I like it very much.

I also really like this bottling from Spiritori. In addition to the typical Hampden aromas on the nose, it also has pepper, vanilla and leather. On the palate, however, this bottling knows how to convince me much more. In addition to the pastry and butter notes that are not unusual for Hampden, tobacco, chocolate and almond notes also come through after a little time. The finish is peppery and slightly bitter, but that doesn't bother me at all. An ingenious bottling and clearly sets itself apart from the standard Hampdens.

Superb! A light funk, but above all Beautiful, very ripe fruit, a hint of tobacco, a pinch of spice. Ultra gourmand, ultra pleasant, long finish. Overall, I loved everything about this rum! A great success.

On aeration, vanilla, roasted nuts, caramel, pastry arise, metallic patina, molasses is herbaceous, fresh with tea. 8,4:On the palate, the attack is fruity with overripe tropical fruits like pineapple, maracuja, red and citrus fruits, buttery, the wood is roasted with pastry, cream toffee, chocolate, spicy with vanilla and allspice, as the molasses is vegetal with briny olive, grassy with hay, earthy with tobacco. 8,5:The finish is long, dry&tannic, with tropical fruits like pineapple, banana, citrus fruits and yellow with melon, mirabelle plum, pairing grassy molasses, fresh with tea, sweet with honey, roasted wood notes, sweet, spicy. The nose is very fruity and spicy, for me it has something of an Irish whiskey. Some varnish and glue in the background. Unfortunately a little thin on the palate with spices, some olive, aniseed and vanilla. Rather dry. The finish is unfortunately quite short.

👃 Large amount of very ripe tropical fruits (jackfruit, passion fruit, pineapple, banana, papaya...) Soft, vanilla, spicy esters. Pastry notes, sweet, vanilla, fruity (yellow orchard fruits). Slight solvents. Almost no wood. A bit of tart green apple in retro-olfaction and vegetal sap. Balanced and tasty nose. 😋 The fruits are yellow, tropical with some citrus, very ripe to candied. We find the pastry bakery notes, sugar, added to this are roasted almonds, more present woody notes, spices (vanilla pod, pepper and mild chili), and dried tobacco leaf. Pleasant and easy to drink. ⛳ Medium length, fades quite quickly. Dry, mild chili, tropical fruits, slight astringency, caramelized pineapple, yellow fruits, still green passion fruit. Note of salted butter and lemon. 💡 Among the OWH 2012 that stand out. Lots of fruit, esterified sweetness, vanilla and pastry. A relatively simple and effective profile, with very well integrated alcohol. To discover the Hampden distillery with a low ester, it does the job very well.

Located in the lower ester spectrum, the classic pineapple freshness is much less present here than in the high ester marques. Nevertheless, lots of tropical fruit, banana, pepper, subtle roasted aromas and barrel notes. Pleasant Hampden with a good price-performance ratio.

Great fruity, balanced nose with some allspice and spice. On the palate, a round combination of banana, caramel and spice, almost resembling a good Worthy Park. Really tasty and well-balanced low-ester Hampden, but without any big surprises. Alongside the TDL 2008, this bottling from Spiritori is also really successful, flawless.

On the nose this one just comes off as a muted, tempered Hampden. Yes, tropical fruit. Yep, esters although far less than usual. Vanilla is probably the second biggest note here. Some hints of wood. All in all, this one smells nice and simple, very approachable. On the palate it is immediately wood, spice and astringency/bitterness, leading into overripe pineapple. Some may like this since it never veers into the wild Hampden territory but for me it simply falls flat and the balance is all off. Too dry and woody/astringent - not bad but not why I come to a Hampden.

Nice and indulgent, but the OWH are rarely my favorites, and here again I remain a bit unsatisfied. Still a nice selection for a gentle Hampden!

Pineapple, pepper. Slightly less pronounced (less esters), but it's not a bad thing, it's a very drinkable hampden.

This is probably a low ester Hampden. The nose hints at all kinds of tropical fruits, with banana and pineapple standing out particularly well. On the palate it gets a bit more complex with burnt sugar and a pleasant sweetness. The rum is a bit too sharp-edged for me.

Very light rum. The marks with low esters don't bother me as long as the fruits are very present, which is not the case here. One of the least interesting Hampdens I've tasted. Not bad, but mediocre.
