Opinions run cold on this one. The nose gets a fair reception — vanilla, coconut, toffee with a whiff of nail polish — but the palate is where people cool off: thin, sharp, bitter, herbal and woody, with a short finish. Several tasters expected more from Foursquare and didn't find it. One French reviewer called it a fair-value everyday pour rather than anything memorable.

14.04.2018 A nice get-together with good friends and own bottles. Notes. Nose: fresh, light, dried fruit, pineapple, Polish, wood, light roasted. Palate: light/thin, fruity, pineapple, spice, wood, medium dry. Finish: short to medium, thin, dried fruit, medium dry, light roasted wood.

No idea where I got this sample from, looks like a freebie. Thanks for nothing 😅 In my opinion this has nothing to do with Foursquare at all. The rest I poured into the espresso, which also wasn't a good idea.

Sweet and unbalanced, sharp in taste and a bit of fruit but drinkable. I suspect it's primarily intended to be used as a mixing ingredient.

Foursquare is a distillery from Barbados producing amazing rums for everyday sipping. It's a rum especially appreciated by rum lovers who are fed up with sugar and are looking for a smooth, sweet rum full of coconut, vanilla, chocolate, and caramel. Simply pleasant and not aggressive flavors.

A good little foursquare reduced doorlys style. Nothing transcendent, but for the price (36 euros) it's a nice alternative to some much sweeter "rons".

Unfortunately very disappointing... Quite a nice nose but the taste is rather bitter, herbal and woody... I absolutely can't recommend it and it's rather a bad example for Barbados rum in my opinion.

Nose mild Barbados; tongue too sharp, spicy, wood is there, a bit of tobacco, finish short and sharp, too expensive even for mixing

Read full review ›So here we have an interesting rum from Foursquare Distillery, which is handled by the independent bottler Cane Island Rum. For around a thousand crowns, you get a pleasant rum from Barbados that has quite typical characteristics of rums from this region. If I had to place it somewhere in the FSQ Distillery portfolio, I'd probably put it somewhere near Doorly's XO and 12y.
