The description is just like the rum's taste: short and crisp. Great stuff! The cask here takes a considerable part of the rum in a love-hate relationship and lets it go again to be funky. A bit like the Song of Ice and Fire. If you like the young Jamaica S.B.S bottlings, you'll love this one! It's simply fun! Thanks for the sample @Alex_K

Nose very sharp alcoholic, which only improves after a long resting time. Along with notes of cookie dough and red fruits. On the palate a similar picture: alcohol is very poorly integrated, the sherry maturation can only cover the worst edges of the young distillate. The WP profile comes through again and again through the sherry notes (red fruits, raisins, etc.), but the whole thing is way too sharp alcoholic. Long finish, after longer resting also a slight bitterness, but not unpleasant.

The intense PX cask enriches the ester-driven, fruity Worthy Park distillate with a good dose of oak and especially a rich raisin and date sweetness along with caramel and chocolate aromas. It's really very tasty, although the sweetness that builds up with every sip almost becomes a bit too much for me in the mouth.

Boo... My opinion of this rum is split... On the one hand, a delicious Worthy Park Extreme with lots of power and great fruity notes, cookie dough, peach etc., but on the other hand, a very alcoholic nose and not well-balanced alcohol. The sherry cask harmonizes very well with the WPE. PLV is TOP! Whether I'll get myself a bottle... questionable🤔

In today's comparison test, I poured myself three different Worthy Park and took a closer look at a distillery that I consider to be rather neglected. In the glass were the RX20540, RX16339 and RX8876. In my opinion, the finish of the RumClub dominates a little and, unlike the others, gives the rum the most sweetness. The Wild Parrot has the most power in the glass, which I really liked. The Thompson comes across as the most boring of the three. But all in all, none of them were really bad.

On aeration, cream toffee, coffee join, some allspice, the molasses is sweet with maple, grassy, citrus fruits are out, metallic patina and rubber. 8,7:On the palate, the attack is slightly alcoholic, medicinal with esters, creamy with roasted wood notes like pastry, cream toffee, crème brûlée, dark chocolate, some leather, spicy with vanilla, allspice, ginger, perhaps peppery, fruity with fermented tropical fruits like banana, red, citrus and dried fruits, as the molasses is grassy, flowery, dark with black tea, vegetal with briny olive. 8,8:The finish is balanced, long, dry&tannic, buttery, creamy with toasted oak notes like caramel, cocoa, smoky with bacon, spicy, pairing dried, tropical, red and citrus fruits, sherry barrel impact is obvious. Wow. I'm really impressed by how much flavor can be packed into a three-year-old rum. Right from the nose, it's full on, plenty of fruit, wood, dark spices, with lactic acid and tea behind. On the palate, it's refreshingly intense without becoming too spicy, sharp, or otherwise one-dimensional. I've liked the Worthy Park profile for a while and remember some great releases, although in my opinion the level hasn't quite been reached with the latest releases. All the more exciting that here we have such a young rum from - at least for Worthy Park - unusual aging in a sherry cask that convinces like this. Great selection, great release, this is really fun!

Wow, this is terrific for a 3-year-old. Has a beautiful nose consisting of esters and alcohol. Also very spicy. Young wood and tropical fruit are added on the palate. Really a top rum.

For the first time in a long time, a WP that is quite funky. The high esters and the finish suit it well. However, it is still somewhat impetuous and unbalanced. However, the approach is promising and with a little more ageing time, something great could emerge

Probably the C<>H among the ... it tastes very much like Worthy Park :P - and with the Tigershark the best WP I've had in my glass so far - the Worthypark iced tea note, together with 1000g/hl esters in sherry cask full maturation delivers an extremely cool result here, at a price-pleasure ratio that I last had with the young NewYarmouths from RumArtesanal or the 2005 Chairmas blend. Before I had this rum in my glass, I really didn't expect much, as the last WP releases were rather average to boring, but this is really great stuff. And even the alcohol is extremely well integrated for just under 60% and such a young rum - I've recently had +20 year old rums that lacked far more complexity and were more fizzy. Very nice to get another great rum at a price from back then (and hence the 9 points).

This cask surprised me enormously from the first second in the glass. The intensity of the high ester rum in combination with the very fresh oak cask and the sweetness of the PX sherry are excellent here. Only the alcohol is not perfectly integrated, but the price speaks for itself. I'll have to make another correction to where I opened my bottle now, very tasty.

Beautiful young WP. Makes a real impression on the nose, WP can be High Esther. Unfortunately not quite as convincing on the palate as on the nose. Alcohol could be a little better integrated. But a nice rum for the price. But I wouldn't need a bottle right now.

Very fruity on the nose, a bit too much alcohol is noticeable and of course with this three-year-old rum the PX cask also comes through strongly. On the palate the distillate first takes the upper hand and clearly pushes back the sherry influence. The tropical fruits dominate, somewhat the red fruit sherry sweetness fights desperately against it. In the finish it all swirls again and depending on which taste buds are hit, sometimes the distillate, sometimes the cask is in front. A great rum 👏

Worthy Park and only 3 years. Not really promising for me. But what you get here is amazing! Power, fruitiness, paired with spices and nice wood. Finish of dark sugar/caramel.

The aging in the Pedro Ximenez cask has surprisingly done the young rum from Worthy Park quite well. It makes it much more accessible with a nice fruity note but doesn't completely overpower the rum. Nice, but nothing more.

I really like this rum a lot.. truly a very intense Worthy Park that already has many fruit notes on the nose which you also notice in the taste like bananas. Plus a higher ester content.

Mixed feelings. Funky fruity, marmalade and biscuit, wood, but also sharp, dry and a bit bitter. Quite complex for such a young Jamaican. Long finish, but the alcohol is not well integrated.

The two sherry cask ester rums from the Rum Club compared. Here, the sherry is very present, embracing and nicely complementing the esters, making it surprisingly mature, creamy, and rounded. Dangerously easy to drink!

Amazing, my most expensive rum so far. With the alcohol strength also my strongest horse in the stable. Taste is exactly as I imagined. Somehow a daring PX mixed with a Hampden Esther Jamaica rum. Very intense. I first let it breathe in the tasting glass for 20 minutes at room temperature. Then it is not so biting. Delicious stuff with lots of aroma and power. I'm satisfied.
