With a medium finish this is a lightly sweet rum with nice fruits and spices. There is a fudge/caramel note in there as well with a tad of smoke. The finish is lightly dry with spices, caramel and tea. Lovely rum.

Blindverkostung: gibt es Brandys, die aus Rosinen destilliert werden? Ungefähr so stelle ich mir den Geruch vor. Ich rieche hier einen Korb voll Rosinen. Dazu kommen Teer, Leder, Tabak, frisches Zuckerrohr und Bitterschokolade – alles sehr herb, kräuterig und auch etwas dreckig. Der Gaumen ist ebenso kräuterig und herb, mit Eiche, vielen Gewürzen und hat eine leichte Schärfe – aber keine alkoholische Schärfe, sondern eher eine Schärfe, wie man sie von Pfeffer kennt. Der Abgang ist mittellang, trocken, würzig und leicht bitter. Das dürfte ein Bellevue Rum aus Guadeloupe von 1998 sein, mit vermutlich 51-53%. Ein Rum der mir ganz gut gefällt, aber leider – falls es ein Bellevue sein sollte – nur ein durchschnittlicher 98 Bellevue ist. 80 Punkte
