Last of the three "Aficionado" I tried and I have to say: no, Niko, it doesn't taste good! Nose: full volume, full-bodied, lots of old brandy. Plus various sweet, dried fruits, mainly prunes and raisins, plus dried dates and apricots. Underneath everything is a heavy sweetness of maple and treacle. Not unpleasant overall. 7,2 Palate: and again just sugar. Insanely sweet with prunes and dried, sticky dates. That's it, neither the Trinidad rum nor the walnut barrel get a chance. Only for sweet rum drinkers and Kröger fans. 2,0

Ein sehr guter Tropfen, bei dem man sowohl die langen Jahre in Trinidad als auch das Walnuss Finish herausschmeckt. Etwas Kaffee und etwas Tabak ist auch mit dabei mit viel Rosine und Würze. Gefällt mir gut und ist von den drei Rums der neuen Wagemut Linie mein Platz 2.

Palate Oily, round, fruits, naturally sweet, nutts, wood, light roasted, spice, light chocolate. Finish Long, wood, dried fruit, spice, faint chocolate, naturally sweet, oily, light nutts. Der große, intensivere Bruder vom PX Cask. Fruchtiger, etwas süßer, milder, runder. Sehr sehr geiler Dessert-Rum / Spirit Drink, ziemlich teuer (teuerste Spirituose die ich mir gegönnt habe bislang) aber schlussendlich doch wert. Kommt für meinen aktuellen Pur-Geschmack der Perfektion schon ziemlich nahe. Drinks: - Pur: 5/5 - Rum Punch: 3/5

Insich ein abgestimmter runder Rum. Die Holz- und Fruchtnoten ergänzen sich klasse. Der Alkohol ist nicht zu dominant, der Abgang könnte etwas länger sein. Die Konsistenz ist ölig dick, das gefällt mir persönlich immer sehr gut.

Had the chance to try this good drop during my visit to Pueblo del Ron in Nuremberg and was thrilled! Exciting aroma profile and very spicy. Definitely not a run-of-the-mill mainstream product, but that's exactly what I like about it! The flavors and alcohol are very well integrated, so the rum feels rather smooth but still not boring.

Delicious rum, very much on the sweeter side. The sherry and walnut casks have a big influence. It has a mature flavor and notes of dried fruit, oak, and walnuts. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't enjoy sweet rums.

Die klassische Rezeptur vom wagemut PX-cask fortgeführt. Strotzt vor schönen Sherry Aromen, auch dank höherer %. Ist aber eben auch sehr süß, fast schon zäh und der Rum steht hier einfach an zweiter Stelle

Der erste Geruch erinnert an das Öffnen eines Lederschulranzen aus meiner Grundschulzeit. Tiefe und angenehme Gedanken an die ersten Schuljahre. Danach stoßen Rosine, leichte Tabaknoten und Walnuss dazu. Beim Trinken kommt ein leichter und spritziger Alkoholgeruch hinzu, der aber sofort verschwindet wenn sich eine wohlige Wärme im Mund ausbreitet. Lang anhaltender Abgang ohne Schärfe. Ein angenehmer Zeitgenosse. Die 120€ mögen für das Alter des Rum angemessen sein, erscheinen aber im Vergleich zu anderen Wagemutabfüllungen zu hoch angesiedelt.

Der Maduro ist eher was für Leute die auf süße rums wert legen und dieser hat es in sich , ein 20 Jahre alter Trinidad Rum mit viel Sherry mit Walnuß und dunklen Früchten. Der Alkohol ist sehr gut eingebunden und der Abgang auch sehr langanhaltend. Also ich liebe ihn ❤️

Hanse Spirit Hamburg Februar 2026. Und noch den Maduro hinterher, aber finde ihn leider auch überteuert. Ansonsten recht lecker, sehr röstig und würzig. Sherry auch deutlich erkennbar und noch leicht süßlich.

Ausgezeichneter Rum, die Nase schon kräftig fruchtig am Gaumen eine Wucht. Warm, rund, angenehm süß und perfekt zur einem MADURO Deckblatt. Langer Abgang mit fruchtigem Nachklang.

Aus der Afficionado Collection für mich der Beste, knapp vor dem Colorado. Dickflüssig und dunkel liegt er im Glas. Der Geruch nach Sherry, dunklen Früchten, dann leichten Holz- und Nusstönen. Er ist dickflüssig und verbreitet im Mund ein tolles weiches Gefühl. Schmeckt nach Sherry und Nüssen, etwas Holz und Tabak gesellt sich dazu. Der etwas höhere Alkoholgehalt von 47,6% steht ihm gut.

Aus der Rumwelt für mich momentan das beste was ich je genießen durfte, es waren zwar nur zwei Tasting Fläschchen, aber diese haben mich überzeugt, das dieser Rum auf alle Fälle in meine Sammlung bzw Bar gehören, was man dazu noch erwähnen muss, der Rum passt perfekt zu einer Zigarre mit gutem Aroma, noch mehr Tabak und noch mehr Schokolade und Honigwabe, einfach nur ein sehr schönes gelungenes Ding und für 120 € mir momentan etwas zu teuer aber nicht zu teuer für dieses Produkt, Nicolas Köger und seinen Leuten ist damit etwas gelungen, was viele Liebhaber sich eher gönnen können als ein 300€ bis 500€ Ding. Kurz um wer Zigarre mag, mag womöglich auch diesen Maduro, man muß schon aufpassen nicht süchtig zu werden. Vielen Dank für dieses Ding!

Read full review →The Maduro is powerfully sweet, but also has an alcoholic punch, so it is not an absolute lightweight. This suits the idea of pairing it with a cigar. After all, you need something that can counter the cigar, but also harmonizes well with it - the strong sweetness and dominant raisin flavours help here.
