13.12.2024 Tasting with good friends. Nose Wood, chocolate, cherry, light acetone, ligh anise, molasses, faint citrus, clove. Palate Warm, balanced, wood, light roasted, caramel, cherry, clove, raisin, light orange, naturally sweet, chocolate. Finish Medium to long, wood, cherry, chocolate, raisin, spice, light citrus, faint caramel. This was a very nice surprise and the empty glass has light nutts, mint and ginger.

Very pleasing on the nose with allspice, sherry, toffee, barrel and baking spices. Roasted aromas, dark chocolate and tobacco on the palate. A few drops of water take away the alcoholic sharpness.

Strong aromas and flavors of pepper, smoke and wood. For a navy-style rum, I miss the fruity notes.
