Poured from a bottle opened for about 1 year, 3/4 full Very lovely rum, with an unusual profile most likely coming from the uncommon Acacia and ex-Vino Generoso casks. Almost creates this flavor akin to berry gummy vitamins that were popular when I was younger, raspberry being the easiest to parse out individually. This is quite sweet on the palate, but comes with enough complexity that keeps it from being too one-sided. Nice oak presence appearing as peppery oak spice and sandalwood. Overall a mood pour due to the strangeness, but very good regardless.

A really fun aged blend with subtle olive and brine notes akin to some clairins that follows a plasticky element that I sometimes associate with certain Jamaicans like nicer Appleton releases, but then introducing a fairly unique dollop of mild mesquite barbecue. I really enjoy this rum. Complex, balanced, unique, and drinks very smoothly at 59.1%.
