This one packs a punch! No wonder with the abv, yet the alcohol could be better integrated. Alongside the typical Agricole aromas of grass, hay and young wood, the flavors of fruit brandy, white wine and even more mezcal come through very intensely. It's also properly smoky. Salty finish. Blind, I would probably have guessed a well-aged mezcal here, which I don't find bad at all =D

I wouldn't say this is rum from Mauritius. To me, the rum is quite earthy and everywhere there is the scent of white wine both in the aroma and taste. In the aroma, there is smoke, woodiness, and tropical fruit with a large portion of white wine. In the taste, a bit sharp, tropical fruit, candied fruit, grass, earthiness, vanilla, and again wine. The finish is medium-long, pleasant, with spices remaining at the end.

Read full review ›The taste is pronounced, dominated by tropical fruit, dried plums and raisins, complemented by vanilla and nuts. There are also less common notes like fresh herbs, grass, and salty olives. The finish is medium-length, combining fruitiness, spiciness, and woodiness with a light smoky touch.
