👃 = The fermented cane is very present on the nose, accompanied by flowers and minerality. 👄 = The sweetness and sugar dominate with herbal and olive notes. The warm finish is short, so you go for another pour.

#6397 24.02.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after a visit to the hospital to get my second shot into my elbow. A surprisingly nice and well balanced rum. Fresh and fruity with overall good balance and ABV integration.

Tasted at the Rhum Fest Paris 2026. I loved the Rumporter cuvée from Sodade and was expecting something similar. That's not quite the case. Here, while the cane notes dominate, there's an earthy and briny side on the nose and then on the palate that its predecessor didn't have. Very nice.

The nose is very vegetal, olives, citrus, cane, canned corn. The palate is full-bodied and enveloping with vegetal, tropical fruit, pepper and citrus. The finish has a soft, sweet undertone.
