A very Caroni nose, tar and mechanic workshop but also a lot of sweetness, molasses, and pastries. Some overly ripe tropical fruits in the background. Wow! Power and immediate complexity. No real doubt here, Caroni. But with a nice balance of sweetness, wood, and tropical fruits. The alcohol packs a punch but isn’t too overwhelming. The finish is endless.

#7080 24.07.2026 Relaxing with some late evening samples after a semi slow week at work. Live Streaming from Tomorrowland. A very nice demerara with a super price tag at release. Heavy profile with nice tar, rubber, varnish, roasted wood, fruits, marzipan, olives, spice and light caramel.

Alcohol logically a little more present than its optimum proof twin. Caroni markers a little less present than on the Marrons de la liberté series, but still very good.

Yes, that's how I imagine a successful Demerara. It welcomes you with a heavy sweet nose, I smell candied fruit, roasted almonds, fine baking spices, a little anise, glue and nougat, full marks in the category round.👍🏻 The 66.9% can't hide,still well integrated for this strength. Burnt sugar,roasted barrel,pepper,almonds,accompany you to the rather long finish. Top rum, I would have liked a bottle of. Addendum: even longer airing he loses quite a lot of flavors on the palate, therefore 0.2 points deducted.
