Continuing with the Green Label series from Cadenhead. Today definitely the Spanish style in the glass. Unfortunately always a bit thin, probably due to the low ABV. Overall, it should be noted that this is a good sipper without edges and corners and rather on the sweet side. The light summer rum for in between.

#7264 09.09.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after starting the day with a migraine. Finally it has gone down to a regular headache. Listening to some new Trance tracks on Spotify. Pretty good rum with a nice price tag in my mind. Roasted wood profile with fruits, spice, grass, chocolate, caramel, nutts and coffee.

Tastes somewhat sweetened. Otherwise relatively thin with wood and Christmas spices.

Very sweet rum with a noticeable sugar overload. On the nose caramel, vanilla and syrup, accompanied by a sticky sweetness. On the palate soft but one-dimensional with notes of brown sugar and toffee, hardly any spice or structure. The alcohol is weakly integrated, which makes the profile appear even flatter. The finish is short, sweet and not very exciting. Overall way too sweet and without any recognizable depth.

Guatemala rum often doesn't promise much good. In this case, I have to say I find the whole thing very appealing. We have a nice easy sipper here in the Spanish style. I really like it. Beautiful coconut and caramel with fruit and nuts.

Due to youth still a bit biting on the palate, but otherwise already surprisingly easy-drinking. Some sweetness, which is not uncommon in Guatemalan rums – seems rather part of the aromatic DNA. Everything remains pleasantly integrated in a profile of caramel, vanilla sugar, wood, spices, roasted nuts and chocolate. Pleasant overall package.

Cadenhead's Guatemala 8yr Blend, Single Cask, distillery? Absolutely no idea. Typical Green Label. You can immediately notice the Spanish style on the nose and palate. It tastes sweet, but not at all exaggerated. There are spicy notes. Basically one from the "Solid Easy Sipper" class. I liked it.
