Tasted this release from HARREL at the Stockholm Beer & Spirits Fair 2024 where they had an unlabeled bottle in the behind with them (See picture). It’s based on molasses from Cuba and won gold at The Global Spirits Masters Competition 2024. It’s a special project where this release of this unaged rum will be followed the forthcoming years by a 1-year, 2-year and a 3-year old release based on the same distillate. Aromas, flavors and the rather long finish is powerful, fruity and spicy with notes of citrus and some funkiness.
