Enmore Flensburg Rum Company Dos Delinquentes (Co-Bottling Wu Dram Clan) EHP 1998
For curious explorers who know Enmore already, this 26‑year EHP is a nose-driven, continental-style rum: coconut, caramel, dried fruits, citrus and herbs. On the palate it’s lighter, drier and more Armagnac-like than classic Demerara, often perceived as thin and slightly bitter, with some soapy notes. Best approached as an offbeat side project rather than a benchmark Enmore bottle.
- Expressive nose
- Coconut and dried fruit
- Unusual Enmore profile

Great nose, divisive palate For curious explorers who know Enmore already, this 26‑year EHP is a nose-driven, continental-style rum: coconut, caramel, dried fruits, citrus and herbs. On the palate it’s lighter, drier and more Armagnac-like than classic Demerara, often perceived as thin and slightly bitter, with some soapy notes. Best approached as an offbeat side project rather than a benchmark Enmore bottle.
Enthusiasts who enjoy experimental, continentally aged Enmore-style rums, value an expressive nose, and are curious about Armagnac-influenced profiles even at the expense of classic Demerara depth.

First of all thanks for the sample to Filip 👍. The scent is subtle to bland. Dried fruit, dark chocolate, coffee, cinnamon and a little molasses. Very interesting taste, almost to the point of some agricole. Combination of mint, herbs, coffee, vanilla and fruit. The finish could be longer.

The measurements are sweet. Definitely coconut. Perhaps a little vanilla. In the taste still the dominance of coconut quite oily. The finish is perhaps even medium-long. All in all, a rum that tastes quite good to me.

I'm torn about this rum.... On the one hand, a mega nose that is really fun and brings a real Guyana feeling... On the palate, unfortunately, things turn out differently... it comes across rather thin with "strange" notes like soap and umami. The finish is relatively woody, dry, soft but good

First of all, thanks Jens for the sample. One of the most atypical Enmore I've had in my glass so far. To the facts, soft round, elegant, ABV very well integrated. All artifacts are in balance, nothing stands out excessively. It seems a little flat to me. You don't notice the 26 years in the barrel, it's definitely not the woody kind. There are a lot of small dull notes, probably due to the storage in the Armagnac barrel, which was very old, a rum of the category, love it, or hate it. I find it exciting because it is absolutely atypical. It's just a shame that the finish is very short.

Despite the low ABV, the alcohol is still very present on the nose. Nevertheless, I find the nose appealing with dried fruit, vanilla and other spices, licorice, caramel, wood, chocolate and lots of sweetness (popcorn 🍿 + coconut!?). The palate is unfortunately very flat and watered down with caramel, chocolate, wood, coconut and spices. The finish is virtually non-existent.

First of all, I found the bottler's communication suboptimal. I would have preferred it to say directly: EHP, 26 years, continental. After that, you can let off steam in flowery sentences and teasers. But ok. The sample had already been ordered when it became clear that it was a continental EHP. So there were also few expectations. The nose is surprisingly delicious with coconut, chocolate, cinnamon, dried fruit but also a nice fruitiness and some mint. On the palate, however, it really can hardly deliver ... quite nice overall, but there are tropical EHPs for the price ... e.g. the 1996 from the rare collection. And there's a world of difference. So: not a bad rum, but certainly not worth the price.

The nose is still quite pleasant, clearly Enmore, some pencil. The taste is unfortunately very thin. A hint of Guyana with dark notes, some wood and spices. The alcohol could be better integrated. All in all, a pale distillate, one wonders why such thin stuff is bottled at all.

I'm totally surprised, apart from a little pale sweetness, vanilla and wood, I can't taste much here. maybe a little honey and green apple. the finish is very short and alcoholic. a team like bayern sometimes loses a game in saarbrücken. even a bottler like WuDramClan sometimes releases a bottle like this. i'm definitely looking forward to the next release.

28.08.2024 Retasting after another sample was open for a few hours and then closed again. Today the sample has very different notes than at the first sampling. --------------------------- #4778 13.07.2024 Relaxing with a little sample 😊 This is very far from an Enmore and what you'd expect. Very light/thin with citrus touch and soap like on the palate. Will try to get another sample to make sure this is correct. Just checked the empty glass and i has a perfume/soapy touch to it.

Interesting and intense on the nose. Vanilla, wood, coconuts and some honey. The Armagnac finish clearly did some work here adding ample of grapes and dried fruits. There are also more earthy and herbal notes - I get menthol and eucalyptus. Interesting twist on an EHP nose with emphasis on the finish. Nice. Hm… on the palate it starts very thin and non-present. This turns into a very watered-down Armagnac sensation. There is some woodiness and a hint of spices. I don’t get much Enmore „feel“ from this. So all in all, this is wired. The nose is an interesting and enjoyable experiment. On the palate, however, this tastes to me like a thin „strange“ Armagnac of some sort. Not too bad, but nothing I would recommend. If you want an Armagnac- get one. If you are looking for an Enmore EHP profile (even a continentally aged one) you need to look somewhere else.

I'm not sure if my sample is good. It has such a soapy taste, that's why I don't give it any points. Regardless of the soapy taste, the rum is pretty thin, flat, not much flavor, also more of a column style rum for me. Overall, it has nothing to do with Enmore in my eyes. Too bad! I got myself a second sample - it doesn't taste any different.
