8,4:On the nose, the first attack is with esters, overripe tropical fruits like pineapple, some citrus, as a wood is roasted with pastry, bacon, nougat, spicy with vanilla, a molasses is vegetal, honeyed, there is some nail polish. On aeration, vinegar note pops up, as some banana. 8,2:On the palate, the attack is sweet with candied caramel, as the wood is roasted, a bit smoky, then spicy with vanilla. Tropical fruits and citrus are secondary notes at first, so is vegetal molasses. The rum becomes creamy with cream toffee, pastry, nougat, the molasses becomes darker with a licorice, some floral notes and petrol join the show also. 8,2:The finish is long with smoky, roasted and spicy wood, a bit tannic, with tasty confectionery, the molasses is vegetal, earthy, the fruits are red and tropical.. A fermented, woody nose, with bacon, yellow fruit and vinegar. A stacking of flavors, as on the nose, but without unity. The palate is reduced and the aromas fail to express themselves. The finish is short, too woody. A rum with the appearance of complexity but in fact dissociated with poorly integrated wood.

<>H has, like DOK, an almost identical ester composition but significantly less ester. That means lots of sour fruit, some floral and berries. The cask here brought larger amounts of syringol and eugenol, producing scents of wet wood and cloves. I didn't recognize the cloves now, but honey, wood, and some chocolate (furfurals/whisky lactone).
