Picked this up years ago as one of my first few Rum purchases- thought I couldn't go wrong with a local-ish distillery. Completely wrong on that, this is just a step above Vodka. Strong alcohol presence through the nose and palate, with vanilla being the only discernable taste. After letting it sit for years, the rum has not changed for the better, still just as one-dimensional and off-putting. It is servicable in batch cocktails where quality isn't as needed.
