Clairin closer to Sajous in fact has more perfumed notes and is probably the most delicate of all the clairins I have owned.Not surprisingly, the Casimir aged gave excellent results.On the finish there is a slight peatiness mixed with medicinal after a while.Way to go Velier!

The nose is a bit too sugar cane heavy for my preference, but I really like the taste, especially the salty minty finish. Is something different.

Voilà un rhum assez clivant. J'ai personnellement un peu de mal avec ce rhum que je trouve trop herbacé. Le fruité ne compense pas assez l'amertume générale. La bouche est d'une grande fraîcheur, mais son côté mentholé, herbe coupée et olive en saumure ne me convient pas.

Number 4 from the community tasting. Thanks RumTaTa!This one is again more on the Jamaican side than the French. Ester and overripe fruits are there, just like fresh herbs and some cucumber.The mouth is also super fruity: citrus and very ripe yellow fruits, green notes keep very much in the background, to then strike again in the finish, but drier and less fresh than in the nose.For me, the best of the aged Clairin from today's Community Tasting.

Köln-Bonner-Rumtasting: zum Glück mal wieder ein ausreißer nach oben. Neben Minze im Gaumen sind vor allem die Erdbeeraromen im Abgang extrem interessant, welche an einen Savanna erinnern. Alkohol gut eingebunden.

25.04.2020 A nice evening out with colleagues and a local liquor shop presenting some nice bottles. Notes Transparent in colour. Nose Fresh, fruity, olive, light smoke, grass, citrus, light floral. Palate Fresh, warm, dried fruit, honey, light smoke, citrus. Finish Medium long, fruity, citrus, herbs, sugarcane.

Sehr schöner Clairin und gut integrierter Alkohol. Die Nase ist sehr floral, würzig und natürlich fruchtig. Dann kommen noch interessante Noten von Käse, Oliven und Veilchen. Am Gaumen ist er neben der Süße von Zuckerrohr wieder schön würzig und frisch. Zitrusfrüchte, Salz und viele pflanzliche Noten wie Kräuter, Minze und Gras sind präsent. Dann noch Mango und etwas Leder. Der Mittellange Abgang bietet pflanzliche Noten von Olive, Pflanzensaft und Minze. Über Salz und leichte Holznoten geht er über Joghurt zu Röstaromen und Speck. Die florale Seite hallt noch etwas nach. Dieser Rum macht wirklich Spaß zu trinken und zeigt viele interessante Seiten, welche bei gereiften Produkten nicht so sehr zum Vorschein kommen. Gains again significantly in profile in the third round. Great complexity. The wild fermentation that makes up Clairins finds its expression. Mega tasty, I must also try times in nem cocktail. 🍸

Ein schöner Clairin, der volle Agricole Power mitbringt. Grasige Noten mit Zuckerrohr, dazu salzige Noten mit Olive und würzigem Abgang. Sehr schöne Abfüllung, die recht nah am Sajous ist und sich gut von anderen Vertretern abgrenzt, die teils sehr eigen sind

Eine himmlische Nase mit den süßen Düften von Bananen-Milchshake, Vanille, Mango und Pannettone. Im Geschmack ist der Clairin immernoch schön süß und die oben genannten Aromen kommen jetzt mit einer Röstigkeit daher. Leckerer Käse, Himbeeren und leichte Oliven sind auch dabei. Mir schmeckt das grade echt lecker. Im Abgang wird er pflanzlich, bleibt aber vanillig und wird medizinisch im positiven Sinne. Leider halten die intensiven Aromen nicht lange an.
