Samaroli Blended Rum SPQR IV (Edition 2023)
Most tasters land on the same read: this is a fruity, agricole-leaning blend that drinks young. Give it time in the glass and yellow fruits — canned peach, apricot, lemon — come out alongside grassy sugarcane and a dry, slightly bitter finish. One member says "I feel a lot of Martinique there," and that Mauritius/Martinique agricole character leads the palate. A few found the young agricole edge just wasn't their thing.

How does Samaroli Blended Rum SPQR IV (Edition 2023) taste?
Aggregated from 11 community reviews.
Fruity, young agricole-style blend Well-liked but divisive: fans get a balanced, herbal-fruity sipper that opens up, while others find the young aged-agricole note too much and the finish short.

After some time in the glass, the rum opens up noticeably. Then a proper sipper that goes in the direction of herbal navy rum. I could imagine a Guyana/Spanish style blend here. Definitely nothing complex or overwhelming. A little too expensive in my opinion, the other SPQRs were still well under 100€.

7,3:The nose is flowery and herbal at first glance. Then some Spanish notes come in, like dried figs, dates, honey, marinated fruits, then caramel, candied apricot or peaches, lemon, sweet spices, some herbs again, nice Mauritius agricole, smoky notes ..... Quite balanced.Volcanique, agricole notes come later and pervade when well aired. 8:On the palate we quickly notice tangerine, canned peaches, well, yellow fruits, liquorice, pepper, some floral notes, really volcanique, very agricole, dry, a pinch of bitterness. 7,6:The finish is quite long with vanilla, strawberry, still some yellow fruits, bit buttery and pleasant. The nose, at first glance, is very reminiscent to whisky. To much caramel...The presence of a young Mauritius Agricole rum is very strong and leading the palate...

Top.

Tastes clearly like an Agricole. Goes in the direction of young rhum from Martinique.
